International Connection: Strong ties with a sister school in Minami Aiki Japan since 1996, supporting cultural and language exchange.

How we use our technology
At Sandy Creek Primary School, digital technologies are seamlessly woven into our educational fabric to enhance the learning experience.
Students engage in hands-on robotics with Sphero minis, Beebots (for younger students) and Lego Mindstorms (in the older years), cultivating problem-solving skills.
Coding takes center stage through platforms like Scratch Jnr and Code.org and also Minecraft Education , fostering computational thinking.
We prioritise digital literacy with Typing Club for proficient keyboarding skills.
iPads become collaborative tools, enabling students to share their work through app smashing .
Platforms like Bookcreator and Class Dojo encourage creative expression and effective communication respectively.
By integrating various digital tools, we create an enriched learning environment that evolves with educational technology trends, ensuring a dynamic and innovative educational journey for our students.
What we’d like to do in the future
Looking ahead, Sandy Creek Primary School envisions a future where digital technologies play a pivotal role in shaping an innovative and personalized learning environment.
Our commitment extends to engaging students in groundbreaking ways, leveraging advanced platforms to facilitate interactive sharing and access to their educational journey. We aspire to experiment with emerging technologies, particularly Augmented Reality (AR), to create immersive learning experiences.
Building on our success with Minecraft Education Edition, we aim to further integrate it into general classrooms, fostering engagement across various learning areas. Our future path includes a dedication to personalized learning, continuous exploration of emerging tools, and a focus on digital citizenship.
Through enhanced collaboration and ongoing professional development, we strive to prepare our students for a tech-driven future, where they can navigate the digital world responsibly and excel in an ever-evolving landscape.
